You run a central bank or government weighing a stablecoin, tokenised deposit, or CBDC, and how dollar stablecoins bear on your monetary sovereignty. I’ve operated the world’s first regulated JPY stablecoin, and a regulated USD one alongside it, so I advise on what running it actually demands, not theory.
Ramy Soliman
Financial Services & Digital Money Advisor · Regulated Stablecoin Operator
I have run regulated financial businesses across three jurisdictions, including four years operating the world's first regulated JPY stablecoin as a NYDFS-supervised principal, through one of the hardest periods this industry has seen: the crypto bear market of 2022 to 2024, the collapse of the sector's primary US banking rails, and a global reset of digital-money regulation. Advisory across the UK, US, and Middle East.
The short version
Most advice on digital money comes from people who have studied it. Mine comes from having been the regulated principal: designated under 23 NYCRR Part 200 and accountable to the New York Department of Financial Services. That sits on a foundation of more than twenty years in institutional capital markets, brokerage, and fintech, with regulated roles under the FCA, NYDFS, and ADGM.
As governments, central banks, and institutions weigh how to build and run regulated digital money alongside the rise of dollar stablecoins, that combination is rare: I have operated regulated stablecoins in both yen and dollars, including the world’s first regulated JPY stablecoin, and I advise on how to design, license, run, and defend regulated money in production, USD and non-USD alike, across the UK, US, and Middle East.

Five institutions I'm built for.
Most engagements start with one of them.
You lead a bank or institution building digital-money capability that has to survive contact with reality. I’ve managed a de-peg, lost banking partners, and executed a freeze-and-seize under a regulator’s eye. So reserve, custody, compliance, and crisis design come from having done it, not modelled it.
You’re entering the UAE as a financial-services, fintech, or digital-asset firm and need the regulatory pathway, the right partners, and a credible local footing: senior strategy, not company-formation paperwork.
You are a stablecoin issuer or digital-money infrastructure firm that needs a counterpart who has sat in the seat: accountable to a supervisor, close to the people who matter across the space, and able to turn a mandate into something you can actually run.
You lead an FX broker, a prime broker, an exchange group, or a firm building across traditional markets and digital assets. Prime brokerage, collateral, and settlement are being rebuilt for crypto, and most incumbents were not designed for it. I have built and run crypto prime brokerage, operated institutional FX and prime brokerage before it, and run a regulated stablecoin issuer, so I work across both.
